Opening night of Red Carpet Comedy was a huge success!  The audience was receptive and the comics each had both highs and lows in their sets.  Here’s one review of the show from an audience member:

“We really enjoyed the non-traditional open mic concept, and it reinforced our respect and appreciation for the actual craft of comedy and performing.”

An extra-big thank you goes out to our “gift bag” sponsors: Comedy Monday Night and Yuk Yuk’s Calgary.  Both venues here in Calgary donated tickets to one of their upcoming shows.  (In fact, THIS Monday night – September 21 – at Comedy Monday Night the regular show format will change to allow for a showcase of Alberta’s best comics vying for their chance to attend the Halifax Comedy Festival… it will be the best comics presenting their best material: don‘t miss it!)

We would also like to thank Big Rock Brewery for buying the comics a round of drinks the evening of the show.  The beers were certainly tasty.

If you missed the show you most certainly missed a unique evening of entertainment… but don’t worry, we already have a second show in the works and we’re shooting for some time in October.  There will be some photos online in the next day or two… when they are available we’ll let you know!
