Our audience at last Wednesday night’s show had to struggle to find parking on account of street cleaning but their efforts were rewarded by our comedians bringing their new material. Everyone had a great set. Thanks to our performers: Jeff Kubik, Scoot Laird, Donovan Deschner, Robeil Teclu, Jeff Toth, Ian Wallace and Brent Constantine.

Frankie Skripal was our show photographer that night – big thanks to her as well. You can relive the fun you had in the audience or see what you missed in the complete album on our Facebook page.
Just two more shows left in our fourth season – join us at the next one on May 29, 2013!

With the completion of Wednesday night’s Red Carpet Comedy there’s just three more shows left in our fourth season and with all the fun the shows have been lately that might not be enough! Our talented performers did a great job sharing their new material. Thanks to Jeff Kubik, Donovan Deschner, Greg Kettner, Brent Constantine, Derek Sweet, Ian Wallace, Doug Mutai and Chip Nicholson (who may have also been the first American comedian we’ve had on the show).

Also thanks to Benjamin Valentine for photographing our show. You can see the full Facebook album through our page by clicking here. Our next show is on April 24, 2013. See you there!

Red Carpet Comedy has had a great couple of shows these past few months and Wednesday night’s was no exception. A really fun audience, lots of great material and a pretty full room. As always, our comics brought their new material and boy was it funny! Big thank-yous go out to Chris Griffin, Jeff Toth, Ian Wallace, Marito Lopez, Kyle Francis, Jeff Kubik, Donovan Deschner and Brent Constantine. Also, thanks and congratulations to Brayden McCue; Brayden was in the coveted “up and comer spot” on the show and had a great set.

As always, Steve Nagy from The NAGY Project was on hand to capture the photos from the evening. The shots are online now over on our Facebook page (click here for the album).
Our next show is set for March 27. It’ll be another night of all new jokes and stories. Join us to help show the Red Carpet Comedians what material should stay and what material should go.

Last night’s Red Carpet Comedy was pretty much as good as it gets! Thanks to the performers for all bringing their A-game and rocking the room with a wide variety of new material and a wide variety of styles. Appearing on the show were: Jeff Kubik, Brent Constantine, Brad Muise, Donovan Deschner, Tony Binns, Ben Cannon, Alan Cho and Jeff Toth.

Also thanks to our regular photographer Steve Nagy, of The NAGY Project, and our stellar audience that made it such a treat to perform. We’ll be back on February 27, 2013, with another all-new night of material from the Red Carpet Comedy regulars and some new faces!

The third season of Red Carpet Comedy is moving along nicely. Another group of talented comedians entertained a nice full house with their all-new material on Wednesday night. Thanks to the performers: Jeff Toth, Scoot Laird, Donovan Deschner, Ian Wallace, Kyle Francis, Ben Cannon, Brent Constantin, Jeff Kubik and Doug Mutai.

Also a big thank-you to our photographer, Steve Nagy of The NAGY Project.
With the upcoming holiday season being so busy, especially for comedians – this is the busiest time of year for shows, we’ll be returning with more brand new stand-up in the New Year (January 30, 2013). Until then, have a great holiday season!

Nine talented comedians kept our fourth season going strong with another night of all-new stand-up material. Jeff Kubik, Brent Hall, Scott Dumas, Donovan Deschner, Matt Billon, Derek Sweet, Chris Griffin, Cory Mack and Trent McClellan worked hard to not only entertain our audience on Wednesday night, but also add great new jokes, stories and material to their shows.

Also thanks to our photographer Andrew Delong and our slightly-smaller-than-usual but still enthusiastic audience! Our next show is on November 28 and tickets are on sale now.

Our fourth season kick-off was one of the best shows that Red Carpet Comedy has ever had! A nice full room was treated to over 90 minutes of new material from the Red Carpet Comedy regulars and some special guests. Plus, we were all pleased to be a part of the YYComedy Festival and celebrate the release of the comedy album, “Red Carpet Comedy: Best of Season 3.” (More details on how you can download that album in the coming weeks.)
Thanks to the comedians involved for once again taking a big risk and making it pay off huge! Performing that night were: Ian Wallace, Doug Mutai, Don Wood, Brent Constantin, Todd Ness, Jeff Kubik, Chris Griffin, Donovan Deschner, Amanda Brooke Perrin and Levi MacDougall. You all did great! (And it was a special treat to have Amanda return to our stage for the first time she moved to Toronto and have Levi appear as our “surprise guest” from the YYComedy Festival.)

Also, thanks go to Steve Nagy of The NAGY Project for capturing the night in photos. You can see the full album online through the Red Carpet Comedy Facebook page here.
Our next show is scheduled a little differently than normal. While we try to perform on the last Wednesday of the month, in October that falls on Halloween. So we’re going to run a week earlier on October 24 and already have an almost-full compliment of eager stand-ups waiting to try their new stuff. See you there! (Also, our Season’s Pass is still available for great savings.)

We mentioned it in our Season Four Premiere announcement last week, but also wanted to call special attention to our new Season’s Pass because it’s getting quite a lot of great feedback from the local comedy community and our regulars. The idea of selling a season-long ticket to a series of stand-up shows is unique in Calgary (for the time-being, some other stand-up rooms have already said they’re going to implement something similar) so Red Carpet Comedy is once again leading the way to new things.
Our nine episode season has already been confirmed with shows on: September 26, October 24, November 28, January 30, February 27, March 27, April 24, May 29 and June 26. If you came to all the shows (which several of our fans try to do), you’d pay $90 per person for the whole season. With a Season’s Pass for our fourth year as Calgary’s only all-professional, all-new room, you’ll pay just $60! That’s like getting three shows for free (or 4.5 hours of all-new stand-up for free)!
Of course, tickets for each individual show will be sold in advance through our website and at the door (Visa, Mastercard and cash accepted), but if you want to laugh just as much as you did last year AND save some money, this might be for you. You can use the link at the bottom of this post to purchase your Season’s Pass (and if you need more than one you can update the quantity once you’re on the PayPal screen).

Description:
Red Carpet Comedy is returning on September 26, 2012! To celebrate the launch of our fourth season, we’ve got a lot happening that night…
As with all RCC shows, we’ll be featuring Calgary’s comedy celebrities strutting their new stuff and policing them with the always-intimidating “That Was Easy” button. Appearing that night will be Donovan Deschner, Amanda Brooke Perrin, Doug Mutai, Don Wood, Brent Constantin, Ian Wallace, Jeff Kubik, Sarah Adams and Chris Griffin. In the coveted up-and-comer spot that night, we’ll have Todd Ness (which will be his first time on the show). These are some of the absolute favourites from our first three seasons and we couldn’t be happier to kick off our new year of shows with such a talented line-up.
This premiere show will also be a featured part of the upcoming YYComedy Festival; a gathering of Calgary-related acts from across North America as well as the current local comedy scenes in stand-up, sketch and improv are joining forces to showcase what our very funny city has created. Most every local stand-up venue is involved in the festival and it gives us great pleasure to support them and be included within their line up. You can see the full festival schedule online by clicking here – there are events from September 24 to 30 and every night has a must-see show of some kind.
As if that wasn’t enough, we’re also using the launch of our fourth season to launch our “Best of Season 3″ comedy album – recorded in June and featuring many of the same performers (with some exceptions) as our premiere night will highlight. September 26 is the first day that the finished album (showcasing the best of the best material created throughout season three) will be available for sale and everyone in the audience will get their very own copy included in their ticket price.
Tickets for the show ($10 each) are available online or at the door that evening (cash, Visa or Mastercard). For our regular fans, we have also introduced a somewhat-original concept in the world of stand-up comedy: A Season’s Pass! There are so many smiling, laughing faces in the crowd at Red Carpet Comedy shows that we see almost every time, that we wanted to reward their patronage (and assistance in crafting the next generation of shows for so many) by offering a 33% discount on our season. We have nine shows confirmed for season four – right through until June 2013 – and with the season’s pass only $60, it’s like getting three shows for free! Passes are available for sale through PayPal by clicking here. (If you’d like more than one pass, you can change the quantity on the PayPal page.)
There are lots of reasons to not only join us for our Season 4 Premiere as a part of YYComedy but for our entire season (or, at least, a couple of shows). Can’t wait to see you back at a Red Carpet Comedy show or in the crowd for the very first time!

Our third season finale and album recording on June 27 could not have gone better. There truly wasn’t a seat left in the house (well, at least not a good seat left in the house) and every performer did a great job delivering a set that will be featured on the Best of Season 3 album slated to be released in the fall. Thanks to the regular and favourite Red Carpet Comedians that participated in the recording: Lori Gibbs, Jeff Kubik, Chris Griffin, Ian Wallace, Sarah Adams, Kyle Francis, Ryan Kukec, Jeff Toth and Donovan Deschner. Also, a big thanks to Cory Mack for acting as our “amp up act” and getting things started right that evening.

Thanks to our photographer, Steve Nagy, for capturing the night on camera. There will be a full album online soon through the Red Carpet Comedy Facebook page.
We’ll be back in the fall with another all-new season of stand-up comedy being given it’s first try and our album launch. Watch this website and our Facebook page for all the details.
